CHIMIREC on the international stage: a new step in development

The CHIMIREC Group has drawn positive conclusions from the year 2024, both nationally and internationally. On the one hand, roll-out projects that have been in the pipeline for several years have come to fruition. On the other hand, the Group's expertise in its fields of virtuous waste management was a decisive driving force for the overall development of its activities. And 2025 begins with the roll-out of subsidiaries in Morocco and Turkey!
The CHIMIREC Group in France
dedicated to the collection, sorting and consolidation of waste. Established in Nangis in Seine-et-Marne, Bouvesse-Quirieu in Isère, and Queuille in Puy-de-Dôme, they form part of the historical development strategy of the CHIMIREC Group, namely territorial coverage.
The original aim was, and still is, to offer customers geographical proximity, a source of responsiveness and quality of service. Nowadays, in the context of environmental issues, proximity is an undeniable additional asset, reducing the carbon footprint associated with the collection and, therefore, the road transport of waste.
Today, the CHIMIREC Group has 25 waste sorting and collection centres, 9 waste treatment centres and 9 oil depots in France.
Internationally, geographical presence and expansion of activities
For CHIMIREC International 2024 was also a year of development, particularly in Canada, which exceeded growth forecasts, and also in Turkey and Morocco, where CHIMIREC subsidiaries were able to take advantage of the growing demand for Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).
Solva-Rec Environnement, the Quebec subsidiary, has carried out improvement and expansion work on its operating sites. CHIMIREC Maroc has acquired a new shredder with increased capacity to produce RDF, as well as an integrated waste collection service, with priority attention given to its key account customers. As for CHIMIREC Avrasya, the Turkish subsidiary, it has had to reorganise its configuration and equip itself with new production tools to meet the RDF needs of its cement customers.
In 2025, we'll be heading for new sites in Turkey and Morocco!
The start of the year saw the purchase of two plots of land for the installation of new operating sites, one with a surface area of 14,000 m2in Turkey, and the other with a surface area of 18,000 m2in Morocco. These two sites will be exclusively dedicated to the production of Refuse Derived Fuel.
Other international development projects are being considered. To be continued...
