CHIMIREC International: Annual Directors’ Meeting

CHIMIREC International : réunion annuelle des directeurs

In 2025, the directors of CHIMIREC’s international subsidiaries met in Turkey, at the CHIMIREC Avrasya offices. In early May 2026, they met again in Poland, at CHIMIREC Poland, in the presence of the Group’s Chief Executive Officer, François de Tarragon, and the Chairman, Jean Fixot.

The CHIMIREC Group internationally

With subsidiaries in Canada, Morocco, Turkey and Poland, CHIMIREC International collected, processed and recycled 150,000 tonnes of waste in 2025. In their respective host countries, they are recognised for their expertise in the responsible management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and for their commitment to traceability, transparency and safety.

Despite a highly competitive market and a constantly changing political and economic landscape, their operations have experienced particularly strong growth in recent years. And, at present, each of the international subsidiaries is undertaking a major project to continue its growth, including the opening of a second operational site for CHIMIREC Avrasya and a CHIMIREC Maroc 2.0 site.

Agenda for the annual directors’ meeting

Scheduled to last two days, this CHIMIREC International meeting, which took place at CHIMIREC Poland, provided an opportunity for all the directors to visit the Warsaw site.
The meeting began with a presentation of the CHIMIREC Group’s financial results for the end of 2025 and the start of 2026, highlighting CHIMIREC International’s results by country. It then focused on two main areas:

  • The implementation of new regulatory requirements internationally.

As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) commitments, the CHIMIREC Group must comply with stricter regulatory frameworks that apply to both its foreign and French subsidiaries.

This is why the obligations set out in the European CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and the Sapin Act are currently the subject of action plans within CHIMIREC Poland, CHIMIREC Canada, CHIMIREC Morocco and CHIMIREC Turkey, to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations.

Safety, a priority for the CHIMIREC Group, was also on the agenda, with stricter targets set. Following the example of the safety reports produced by the French subsidiaries, international sites will now be required to carry out regular and systematic monitoring of near-misses and all incidents recorded at their sites.

From an insurance perspective, CHIMIREC International is part of CapQuartz, the CHIMIREC Group’s captive reinsurance company.

Finally, in human resources, difficulties in recruiting sales staff and chemists were highlighted, both internationally and in France.
On these various topics, the relevant managers, based at CHIMIREC Group headquarters, took part via videoconference.

  • Country-specific presentations on a specific area of activity

At the close of this meeting in May 2026, it was proposed that next year’s meeting be held at ARETZIA, a CHIMIREC subsidiary based in France, which specialises in the treatment of industrial effluents. In fact, the management of this type of hazardous waste is an issue that affects all countries.
